Nerdanel squinted sleepily at the Maia of Mandos. The only words she caught were: children, Turkafinwë, untimely murder and your's now until their parents return from the Halls. Then the blanket wrapped forms was being pressed into Nerdanel’s arms and the Maia disappeared.

Summary
He is on his knees in the mud. The very breath is stolen from his lungs. All he can see is darkness.
He sees his father’s face, creased in disappointment as he makes a mistake and the knife he is forging cracks when he quenches it. His mother, pale and drawn and staring out of the window of their house. The night that they ran, all his possessions that he could carry stuffed into a pack as they steal out of the house, tear tracks down his mother’s face as she urges him to run, to run as fast as he can through the twisted trees.
The same tears on her cheeks when her head is in his lap, blood staining her chest as his father is wrestled to the ground by guards in shining armour.
His father’s wide eyes as he falls. As if he didn’t really expect, until the moment he was pushed, that this was really the end.
The wind howls in the abyss below his feet. The rocks crumble and fall, and the edge of the precipice beckons.

Summary
In which “blessed by Ulmo” means that Tuor and his line are skinchangers who turn into aquatic mammals. This changes nothing, except the things that it does. 300% fluff, feelings, and otters who just want to snuggle.
Some are more interrelated than others, and things get mentioned across the timeline, but any of them should stand alone.There is also a spinoff series in the same universe, but which does not contain the skinchangers here.

Actually a second version of "The tales of the assassins" where instead of birds, you get dragons.
Lindir is abducted and abandonned in the forest with no hope to get back to Imladris. Thanksfully, he is saved and brought to the Dragon's nest where lives a small community of dragons and an exiled sylvan elf.
