Summary
Sonic is tired of being babied by the older racers, and North is tired of his friends constantly trying to set him up on terrible blind dates. During a massive post-race party, Wayne tries to introduce North to yet another “perfect match.” In a moment of panic, North grabs Sonic and declares they are dating. Sonic, never one to back down from a dramatic moment, completely leans into it.
They agree to keep up the charade for a month. North promises to buy Sonic whatever car parts (or snacks) he wants in exchange for being his “boyfriend.”
Sonic takes the role way too seriously, planning elaborate, overly romantic gestures just to mess with North—only to realize his heart is actually racing when North holds his hand or pulls him close to play along.
