    "Friends forever?" The boy raises his pinky up at their faces, who just stare back at him with confusion.

    "What's that?"

    "It's a pinky promise! Here!" He excitedly grabs their pinky fingers and intertwines them without the two actually approving it. "We're friends forever now!" And he smiles, radiantly, as if it's an achievement.

    They glance at each other, before one defeatedly shakes his head and the other cracks a fond chuckle.
