    She doesn't want someone's hands, she wants Rupert’s heavy, calloused hands—the ones that handle those massive polo mallets with such sickeningly perfect precision—to be the ones bunching the cheap cotton of her skirt in his fists, his eyes the ones to rake over her like he wants to eat her alive, his tongue the one to plunge deep into her mouth til she can't breathe anything that isn't him, his—

    Yeah, she thinks, Shelley is absolutely right.

    They were holding hands, skin against skin and expecting to reach the end of everything--together. And then...the end didn't come.

    In the blink of an eye, Aziraphale and Crowley are rendered human and transported to a new world after God resets the universe, where they apparently live together as a bookseller and professor in a cottage. They don't know how or why they're still alive, but they utilize their unexpected second chance to tell each other everything they hadn't gotten to say in the old world, and have the relationship they always wanted.

    Over a decade after the Almost Apocalypse, Crowley and Aziraphale are comfortably settled into their life together in South Downs, happily married and content in retirement. There's nothing lacking in their love and relationship, but what if they had room, maybe, for just one more...?

    {A domestic series based around family, love, healing, tenderness, and growth; features the ineffable husbands set in the future as they both uniquely experience pregnancy for the first time by taking turns carrying. Flavoured with an extra contextual look into their shared past, and especially Crowley's history as a midwife as he handles the notion of being able to carry and nurture his own child.}

    “I’m afraid I’m going to need to do a bit of mending down here, dear,” Aziraphale said, lowering his spectacles on the bridge of his nose before reaching to gently lift the edge of the sheet again. “The bleeding isn’t terrible, but it’s—well. The miracle of life comes with a few flanking casualties, I suppose you could say.”

    “Funny way of saying my poor fanny is ripped from Cyprus to Seleucia,” Crowley grunted, snorting somewhere in the vicinity above the baby’s head. He stroked a careful thumb around the shell of the newborn’s ear when they whined, tenderly cupping their face closer to his bare skin, and pulled a pinched sort of expression. “Blimey. How bad does it look?”

    Aziraphale blinked behind his glasses and pursed his lips for a moment. “Would you like me to fetch a mirror?”
