She learned how to waterbend, learned more about spirits. She even sang Let It Go way too many times and occasionally hung out with stray animals. A bonafilde Disney princess.
She would have liked to travel more, to see the Fire Nation and the Earth Kingdom and Southern Water Tribe but she was content and ready when the time came.

To be honest, she did try to get out of the ‘becoming the moon’ deal. Stronger locks for the oasis, booby traps along the way, more guards to accompany her and the Avatar… But when Zhao did show up and he did kill the fish, she didn’t hesitate.
Her life vs the concept of waterbending and the fucking tides? Her entire people? Not even a question.
And she gave her life for the fish.
And the fish gave it back.
