Kisame tries his best at a cordial greeting and hopes they don’t make the situation awkward, which they do by staring at him in silence. Yahiko then seems to remember who he is and exclaims, “Oh, the newbie! Have fun.”
Kisame couldn't help but think that monitoring emails is a very boring job despite making the conscious decision to apply for it. Then he gets the position, and suddenly he wishes he was right.
