There’s just something about the boy that is pulling Theo towards him, like they’re magnets and this invisible force is pulling them closer. And whilst Theo has never been one to believe in something as silly as fate, he believes that he and Liam were always fated to meet like this.

Liam wanted to do it. He wanted to kiss Theo Raeken. He noticed Theo's eyes fluttering down to his lips and he thought for a split second that the chimera would do it. He thought the chimera was actually going to kiss him. But nothing happened, the lift doors opened revealing hunters with guns shooting at them. Then Liam never saw Theo again.

Liam’s pulse kicked up. His skin felt too warm, too tight, like the air around him had thickened. He hated how exposed he felt under Theo’s gaze, like the man was reading him with ease, pulling apart things Liam didn’t want anyone touching.
Theo’s smirk returned, slow and knowing.
“Relax,” he said softly. “I’m not here to bite.”
A beat.
“Not unless you want me to.”
Slowly, a knowing smile spread across Theo’s lips, deliberate, confident, inviting.
