Then [Su] turned back to the window and leaned out of it. "Calvin," she said, like an invocation of doom.

"The first part's sort of bad news for both of us." He stopped, almost like he was listening. "Right, actually, scratch that - all of it's bad news for both of us, I'm just kind of used to the second part of the bad news. Anyway," he went on, when Su started to make sure she looked impatient, "the first part of the bad news is you're not going to believe me, and you're probably going to be really pissed off at me."

Summary
Captain America meets Universe Man in a grimy subway station at three in the morning, which is kind of poetic if you think about it on a metaphorical level, which Steve generally tries not to do.

The train finally shows up. Steve starts to stand when the doors open, but Universe Man stays put. Curious, Steve sits back down and lets the train go. When the noise has faded, he says, "Weren't you waiting for that one?"
"Yep," says Universe Man. "Now I'm waiting for the next one. It's a nice way to pass the time."

"You learn," Peter said, shrugging the shirt off, "when you're the best at what you do -- " he bent and sucked along Neal's collarbone. Neal groaned. " -- sooner or later," a kiss along his sternum, "you get whatever you want."

Summary
Bucky vowed to avoid Clint as much as possible, because if he had to spend any amount of time with this guy, he was going to develop a truly disastrous crush.
“Any chance you want to make a habit of the morning run thing?” Clint asked hopefully as they started to climb the stairs. “Cause I could totally use a workout buddy.”
Terrible idea.
“Great idea,” Bucky blurted out, trying to stop himself from sneaking sideways glances at Clint’s biceps. “Yeah, that sounds…” Torturous. Ill-advised. Problematic. “That sounds great.”
(Or: the one where Clint has nipple piercings and Bucky has a thirst.)

Bookmarker's Notes
It’s a funny little quirk of their building: the shared wall between his apartment and Clint’s provides roughly the same level of soundproofing as goddamn tissue paper. The wall mostly divides closets, kitchen cabinets, and a hallway. The only place where its insulation (or lack thereof) becomes an issue is in the shower, because their showers are right fucking next to each other. When Bucky’s in his own shower, for whatever reason — he thinks it has something to do with the ventilation system and the fan — he can hear absolutely everything that happens in Clint’s shower.
Everything.

Summary
The picturesque village of Buell, Maine is one of the last in the United States to continue the tradition of the “harvest” or “prosperity” lottery. Its residents insist the lottery makes them stronger, even as condemnation from outsiders grows.

Bookmarker's Notes
So last year, when Buell resident Demelza Delacroix died from—I’m going to quote the autopsy report here—from “blunt force trauma to the head and torso,” in your view that wasn’t murder?
Of course if you cherry-pick lines from an autopsy report it’s going to sound bad.
