Summary
2005, Autobot City. Optimus Prime has just defeated Megatron with the aid of Hot Rod. On his deathbed, Optimus Prime hands off the Matrix of Leadership, but as he does, his systems start to shut down. The last thing his optics witness is the Matrix tumbling out of his hands before all goes dark and he returns to the Matrix.
However, Primus will not let the Last Prime rest so easily..
Awakening in a burning, ruined city, Prime is confused at first. But, as always, when the call for help by a human arises, Prime will not ignore it. He will learn where he is, and fight for the freedom of all sentient beings, no matter the cost..
