Summary
When a massive army shows up, the Jedi are obviously the first negotiators sent. A temporary and precarious alliance is made: in exchange for resources, the army will protect peace alongside the Jedi for the good of the Republic. The clones demand a Jedi spouse for their leader, and the Council agrees to send someone who accepts the marriage and its consequences and "does not use the Force". They decide to send someone who won't really be missed by the Order, but who has enough close comrades so that they can threaten those who remain.

Summary
Plo Koon, Commander Wolffe, and the Wolfpack are sent to evacuate a storm-battered colony before Separatist forces arrive. The mission should be simple: land, secure the civilians, retrieve the children sheltering in a cliffside refuge, and get everyone out before the droids reach them.
But Belassar’s storms hide more than danger. Beneath the children’s refuge lies an ancient Republic weather-control station, and the Separatists want to turn the planet’s own lightning against the evacuation fleet. With the sea rising, droids closing in, and dozens of children trapped above a weaponized storm, Plo Koon and the Wolfpack must hold the line long enough to prove that no one gets left behind.
