Summary
A series about my Crow Rook, Nadia, and her relationship with Lucanis.
Nadia drank in the sight of the man she loved. He was so handsome, even spattered with blood, even in this terrible place. Tears welled behind her eyes, but she could finally breathe again. He was thinner than she remembered. His hair was longer, his chin and cheeks covered by a beard. But his eyes were the same: dark and warm. He was alive and her heart was singing.
“Nadia?” he whispered. “Is it really you, mi amor?”
“It’s me. I’m here, Lucanis,” she said and threw her arms around him. He returned her embrace, hands automatically seeking the weak points in her unfamiliar armor—the assassin version of I love you, are you bleeding anywhere? For a moment, everything was right with the world. He smelled like blood, sweat, and the sharp tang of magic, but his leather armor still smelled faintly of coffee and his cologne. Summary
