Barbatos overlooks the fall of Khaenri’ah. His heart, heavy as he mumbles small prayers and apologies to the many lost souls he and the Archons have caused for the sake of a “Divine” order.
He looks down at the bundled infant in his arms. His starry blue eyes glossy with tears as he stared up at the Anemo god.
The baby whimpers as he reaches up for him, and Barbatos lets out a humorless chuckle as he holds the infant closer.
After the sin he had just committed, this little baby still seeks comfort from one of the causes of his homeland’s destruction.
Barbatos, truly, is a weak god.
