Intricate embroideries are sewn onto the fabric of his sleeves, flowers vining from his cuffs to his shoulder — delicate, and counter-balanced by the large broadsword hanging from his hip. Mydei assumes that whoever the man is, he’s important. A duke, or some lord.
“Oh,” the man says with a sigh, shoulders sagging in relief. “You’re awake. I thought you’d never open your eyes again.”
