The stranger took a deep breath, and it was the first time she came seemed even slightly uncomfortable. Now they had agreed on a price and Vi had accepted, perhaps the rich Piltie had lost her nerve. Despite her sudden discomfort, her eyes did not waver. They stared into Vi without blinking, sultry, unbreakable — as if they’d known each other for years.

Summary
This story is dedicated to all those who felt as though the show ended too quickly and we didnt get to see just how affected Vi and Caitlyn would have been after everything they went through
In the aftermath of the battle, Vi can't seem to crawl her way out of her grief after losing almost everyone she ever loved. She becomes self-destructive and can't help but stumble back into her old ways. Unable to find hope in this newer, brighter world, the darkness inside of herself drags her down to a place where she doesn't know if she will ever be able to escape.
After Vi is seriously injured during a pit fight, Caitlyn's life is knocked off its axis. How would she survive if Vi died? Who would she become if Vi was no longer around to help guide her morality?
Are they truly meant to be together? Or will staying together only tear them apart?
This story is of two women working through their individual traumas to overcome deep loss and still find love again.
