Summary
It started with Doomsday.
The Titans, the Justice League, the X-Men, the Avengers, everyone who fought the creature were defeated. Humiliated and forced to watch as Doomsday killed civilians by the thousands.
In the end, it took the sacrifice of Superman's life to put Doomsday down once and for all. Superman came back, thanks to the efforts of Magneto and his faction of the Brotherhood, but a great problem was noticed - there was no coordination in the face of threats like Doomsday. So something drastic was proposed - uniting ALL heroes into a singular team. One where all their combined resources could be used to bring peace and hope to the world. The Justice League and Avengers were the first to join the Alliance, their mettle proven when they aided Batman in stopping the war Joker unleashed on Gotham.
These are tales of the Alliance.
These are tales of a world which the heroes did not make the mistakes they made in the canon you know.
