A quick thanks to mydwynter who—although he may not remember this—helped me via chat one night think about pov in the first scene. I really enjoyed and learned from that conversation.
And I owe million thanks to Mazarin221b for the beta; she gave me lots of encouragement and some great ideas for the last scene. And then, when I was still getting stuck, I read and re-read her marvelous Hands Are Clever (one of my absolute favorites) until I finally was able to kick it into gear. In so many ways, I’d never have gotten either one of my two fics done without her. Thanks, Maz!

Written in response to this kink meme prompt: "John is a great dancer: we're talking all types. Not only is he able to pop and lock it, he's got some great ballet technique. He was best at lifting / holding girls."
Thirteen chapters, thirteen dances, interwoven in two parallel tracks: John's past and his present. And maybe his future, too. (I do love a happy ending with a bit of smut.)
