    “What the hell are you doing here?’ Mable approached the stranger. His back was turned to her, staring intently at the array of photos on the wall. Each in their frame, the photos depicted every director of the research center since its founding. The man’s fingers creased the photo of Mable’s predecessor.

    “I know this man.” The intruder’s voice was hauntingly familiar. He turned to her. Mable swallowed her shock as the intruder asked, “Where is he?”

    Mable didn’t say anything. The man before her shouldn’t be alive. He should be buried underneath tons of pounds of dirt, his grave marked by the charred remains of the ultimate weapon.

    Or: A typical crappy day becomes even more complicated when Mable finds an unexpected visitor in her office. What ensures is an awkward conversion, missing the coffee.

    But she wants to like Zagreus. She wants to see if maybe, just maybe, she wasn’t being such a fool when she’d offered comfort and kindness and told him he wasn’t alone - she was there, as much as she could be. She knows that even talkative, charismatic people get lonely, sometimes.

    She needs to understand him better, is what it comes down to. And what better way to understand her prey than observation?

    Therefore: tree-sitting. Perfectly sensible.

    Blue is Kanto Champion for thirty-nine minutes.

    That’s it. Technically, he’s part of the Hall of Fame, technically he’s an accepted Champion. Technically, the title was his once, so it will always be his. Technically, he can’t lose it. He just loses being the present Champion.

    He also, briefly, held the Kanto record for youngest ever Pokemon League champion. That was until Red, three months younger, caught up to him.

    Really, Blue hadn’t even been surprised.

    Ingo is just slightly to the left of where he's supposed to be. He's in Hisui, but not. Jubilife, but not. Modern times, but not. Luckily there are some familiar things... namely an electrifying model who knows his name and insists on helping to get him home where he belongs.

    When Elesa travels to Sinnoh for a fashion tour she's expecting to miss her friends and family for the two weeks she'll be abroad. She certainly doesn't expect Ingo to show up backstage. Or for Emmet to be even less communicative than usual while she tries to figure things out. Or for the whole event to turn into a balancing act between her friendships, her professional career, and her personal sanity. Luckily she's pretty good at managing things and Ingo is supporting her too, just as she supports him. It's a long tour across Sinnoh, but they'll get there together, in the end.
