A different timeline where the Tyrant killed Chris and Wesker (mostly), then that's where the fog rolled in and took them both.
Complicated history between them will appear again to become a problem. Maybe Chris will be able to get his head in the game, or he'll keep having his feelings get in the way of the goal of escaping each time he faces Wesker. Vise versa. -

Leon get's his ass handed to him, but gets saved by Wesker, not understanding who Wesker is Leon doesn't do anything about it.
Chilling in the S.T.A.R.S. Office they try to figure out a plan, making small talk to pass the time, due to Leon's sprained ankle. Maybe this is some sort of miracle for Wesker? Able to escape everything, but still managing to come back to his roots. Knowing the pattern from past experiences this 'happy moment' won't last forever, no matter how long it lasts Wesker knows it's going to end soon. Or maybe, just maybe this could be a 'happy ever after'.
Let's pray he doesn't get too cocky about that.
