The radiant sun bathed the wooden board as Toge skillfully diced vegetables for their long-awaited dinner. Simultaneously, the gentle tapping of tiny footsteps echoed across the hardwood floors of their cozy living space. Their nearly six-year-old daughter, full of energy, darted around the short distance between the sofa and the kitchen.
Toge remained unperturbed, a warm smile spreading across his face. He added the diced peppers and green onions to the sizzling pan before turning back to watch his daughter’s playful antics. She pretended to be a magic princess embarking on a perilous quest, her laughter filling the kitchen.

Summary

“Val- I-I don’t understand. What’s going on?” He reached for Val in desperation, trying to make sense of what was happening but his mind felt fuzzy and he couldn’t decipher the situation.
Val grabbed his hand and pulled Angel close to him. He exhaled pink smoke into his face and Angel felt himself relax into Val’s grip. Val used another hand to grab Angel’s chin tightly, claws digging in but not enough to break his skin.
“You’re not my problem anymore,” Val whispered into his ear. “I have no use for addict trash like you.”
OR
When Val loses Angel to the gambling overlord but makes sure Angel believes he simply didn't want him anymore. Angel is left devastated and unsure of what his new life and master will be like.
