Stiles is kicked out of the pack by Derek when he’s offered the bite and refuses it, Derek and Scott then insisting he stay away not just from the pack but the supernatural as a whole. He cuts all contact between them, and with his father too who didn’t react well to the supernatural reveal or to Stiles’s sexuality.
He drops out of school to work at a secondhand bookstore and becomes a cam boy a couple of times a week to earn and save money. Peter returns for Stiles having left BH to heal, but Stiles feels like he abandoned him and doesn’t trust that Peter is sincere in his affection and want for him. After Peter walks in on Stiles mid cam show, he stays to scene with him, starting to earn back his trust.(Read to ch.25)

"He's harmless. Look at him," Derek says, and Stiles bristles.
"I am not—"
"You smell what I do," Talia speaks over him. "Do not be so easily fooled."
Stiles isn't sure whose side to take. If he agrees with Talia, he argues against being set free. If he agrees with Derek, he admits he's weak and helpless. Neither option is appealing.
"Yes," Derek says. "But he's a kid, and he's terrified—"
"Actually, I'm seventeen and very brave—"
"—and he has no idea what he is."
