Summary
Wangji stays on the piano bench as they’re closing up. Wei Ying chews his lip, knowing what he’s going to do but horrified at himself. But what’s the alternative: kick the guy out and find him sleeping beside the dumpster in the morning? And that’s if the cops don’t take him in for vagrancy.
“Wangji?”
Wangji looks up.
Please don’t be a serial killer. “So, we’re closing up for the night, but A-Yuan and I live upstairs. Do you want to join us for dinner?”
Wangji blinks. His head bobs in what’s probably a yes.
“Great!”
Fuck.
Or a ragged monosyllabic man wearing a collar shows up at Wei Ying's music store. Wei Ying and A-Yuan ask, is anyone going to adopt this guy? And then they don't wait for an answer.

Summary
Wei Wuxian hadn’t been avoiding Lan Wangji for years, but he hadn’t been not-avoiding Lan Wangji either. There was something awful and awkward about seeing your intended spouse after turning them down that Wei Wuxian just didn’t want to deal with. It helped that he went away for university, and that Lan Wangji went away for university, and they happened to both go to different countries. Wei Wuxian liked to think they both wanted to get as far away from the situation as possible.
(the situation being each other)
So why, then, does Wei Wuxian’s heart skip a beat every time he sees Lan Wangji? And why is adult Lan Wangji so hot? It’s not fair that they could be married and instead Wei Wuxian is awkwardly pining for his former betrothed, a boy he once publicly broke it off with without regret.

Summary
Wei Wuxian's music career started at the age of 16, when he debuted with the K-pop band Junior League. Now, at 35, he's a well-established artist, mostly releasing upbeat dance tunes. Seven years ago, he went on the first season of the variety show Our Song as a junior to be mentored; now in season 8 he's back to do the mentoring.
Lan Wangji is an opera singer who happened to have one pop hit. His brother convinced him to do this show to broaden his horizons and explore possible career paths. His preferred musical styles would appear to be nothing like Wei Wuxian's, but he finds himself assigned the pop star as his mentor.
Artistically, everyone (including them) expects it to be a trainwreck. But as they learn more about each other and find common ground, they find themselves unexpectedly connecting onstage—and off.

Lan Zhan looked at him neutrally.
“Do we...” Wei Ying looked around to see if anyone was nearby, then lowered his voice anyway and leaned in to whisper: “Do we have sex?”
Lan Zhan let out a small huff of a laugh in response, as Wei Ying’s face flooded with color at the squirmy feeling even asking the question brought up in him.
“Yes,” Lan Zhan replied, once he had gotten over his initial reaction. He maintained steady eye contact. “We do.”
