Breakdown was faced with inner conflict after he had been rescued by Bulkhead from M.E.C.H. Why had the Autobots come for him instead of the Decepticons? Had anyone other than Knockout cared about his absence?
Perhaps the original cause he was fighting for was lost. The Decepticons weren't what they used to be.

Summary
As usual summer before third year is really hard…
After an unfortunate incident with Aunt Marge, Harry finds himself staying with Snape and his live-in boyfriend of 12 years.
Only, Snape is just as awful as ever and his boyfriend is really cool and nice and makes Harry feel important… but as time goes on, it’s clear that all is not as it seems. Because Snape is actually… well, he’s not a decent guy, but he does care about protecting children from abuse, apparently.
But his boyfriend… It turns out that not all guys who seem good end up being good in the end. As he watches his professor’s relationship dissolve he can’t help feeling like an awful person for being an active participant in it.
It never once crosses his mind that Harry was being groomed and abused in a grossly different way than he was used to.
