    Summary

"Jeremy, what are you talking about? We are having entirely separate conversations.” Something fearful clings to the man’s words, but determination flashes on his features as he straightens up. “I’m worried your concussion is worse than any of us thought. Slow down, please?”

Concussion? Jeremy squints at him. “I don’t have a concussion,” he says suspiciously, head throbbing inconveniently as if to dispute the very idea.

Gray eyes blink in confusion. Good. At least Jeremy’s not alone in his perplexity. “Yes, you do.”

    “I think I’d remember that.”

The man swears in French before saying, “I think the problem here is that you do not, obviously. We need to go to the hospital.”

When Jeremy loses over a decade of memory overnight, Jean's entire universe threatens to collapse.

    Summary

He stares at the roach, notices how it’s smashed over a photo of him and Osamu. They're standing in the garden outside. Its flattened corpse is smeared directly over Atsumu’s smiling face. He closes the album and slides it under the bed. He turns off the light and tries not to view it as a sign.

Or: Atsumu grows up, confronts his past, has a meltdown, and finally embraces the future. Just...not necessarily in that order.

    Summary

[Time passes oddly. Between one second and the next, Sokka has the Fire Lord pinned to the wall with his hands around the bastard’s throat. Golden eyes (one gold eye, his mind whispers) widen in shock.

“Sokka?” he chokes out. And then he smiles.

    What the fuck?

    “Sokka, I—”

Sokka slams his head against the wall, once, twice, and the smile wipes off his face. Good.

What,” Sokka bites out, “have you done to my sister?”]

    Or:

An injury leaves Sokka with amnesia. His last memory is of the failed invasion, of leaving his father behind in enemy territory on the Day of Black Sun. Of hopelessness. Rage.

But then he wakes up, and the war is over. Suddenly, he must come to terms with the fact that years have passed, and that he's somehow the Southern Water Tribe Ambassador to the Fire Nation. He is also supposedly friends with banished-Prince-turned-Fire-Lord Zuko, of all people. Close friends.

    Yeah, nah.

“Come to ask for an autograph?” Eddie asked.

    “Was it an original?”

“You don’t recognize Sabbath? Black Sabbath? Ozzy Osbourne?”

Altar boy tilted his head to one side like a confused puppy.

    “That’s devastating, altar boy.”

    “Steve.”

    “Huh?”

“My name’s Steve, incase you feel like serenading some more, and, uh, I’m not an altar boy.”

“No?” Eddie’s eyes flicked over him. “You look like one.”

“I’m surprised you’d know, I doubt you’ve ever stepped foot inside a church.”

“And what? You’re gonna change that for me?”

Steve let out an amused exhale. “I suppose no one’s past saving, but you might be a close call.”

“Lucky for you, I didn’t ask for saving. Long live the devil, baby.”
