“I didn’t say we’re friends because we’re not, hm?” Oscar tells him, then drags his tongue along the thick muscle on the side of Lando’s neck, and kisses the soft spot beneath his ear once he reaches it. “Do friends do that?” Oscar then slowly slides the waistband of Lando’s sweats over the curve of his ass until it’s just smooth, warm skin in the palms of his hands, and then he squeezes. “Or this?”

Summary
Oscar’s well aware that he’s got that tight clench in his chest again. That selfish, greedy clench that he knows is a bad, bad idea. A way to get his feelings hurt all over because Lando’s going to leave him like he always does, and Oscar will have to act normal in the next interview as if he didn’t just see Lando like this, as if Lando hasn’t fucked him up irreparably for anyone else.
And God knows what the future holds for Oscar, but nothing’s ever going to compare to Lando. Nothing. No one will ever come close.
He knows this with absolute certainty.

“Miami?” Lando asks abruptly, half puzzled, half amused. He lifts his head up from Oscar’s shoulder, coming eye to eye with the boy who definitely looks like he’s been caught with his hand in the cookie jar.
The thing is, the back traces have always been absentminded. Oscar does it without thinking, and Lando receives it the same way—welcomes it, without question.
“Yes,” Oscar says simply. “It’s Miami."
Lando breaks out in a laugh. “Jesus, you’re desperate for a race, aren’t you.”

Lando laughs, and so does Oscar when Lando bumps their shoulders together. And they laugh and laugh, and on the TV Lewis overtakes Charles, and amidst it all Oscar says, “I'm so serious.”
