Leo gets freaky space ‘cancer’ from the prison dimension

Dealing with (aka: avoiding entirely) the trauma from all his interactions with Prime in the Prison Dimension is one thing. Yes, one thing he relatively sucks at but who’s gonna lay into him for that? But adding the stress of having a weird ass deadly illness on top of that, along with hiding it from his family, and it seems like the universe DOES want him dead!
Oh well, it’s not like this could turn out horrible right? He just has to find the cure, make it, and completely treat the illness before his brothers get too suspicious! Also maybe find out what it’s called, the place of origin, maybe find a list of all the symptoms, find out how to manage living with it in case there’s no cure, any potential after affects it has if it IS curable, and a couple bajillion other things that could be handy to know!
How hard could that be?

For the record, Ajax was not at all opposed to being sent on missions as another Harbinger's backup. As long as he was given things to fight and the rest of the tasks were not excruciatingly boring to get through, Tartaglia would comply without issues.
The actual mission, the actual tasks, the actual experience of being the backup was not the issue here.
The issue was-...He was the only Harbinger being tasked with things like these. The only Harbinger being designated as backup. The only Harbinger being treated like a class below the rest.
(Because Tartaglia was rash and reckless and could not be trusted to keep himself safe.
Tartaglia was to be looked after like an unpredictable rabid animal that only behaved under certain conditions.Tartaglia was off.)

Or, Childe struggles to understand why the Tsaritsa insists on treating him differently from the other Harbingers, and tries to pretend like his affiliations aren't irrevocably shifting towards the mysterious god he meets in Liyue.

Gunshot wounds are dangerous. Gunshot wounds to the chest are downright lethal. The thorax is packed with vital structures, heart, lungs, and more blood vessels than anyone wants to count. So when Senku takes a bullet, he does the math. Odds of survival? Not good. Depressingly low actually, especially with the amount of blood he’s choking on.
But science isn’t about taking the easy way out. And Senku has never been a quitter.
OR
I completely redo everything medical wise that happens after Senku gets shot, because if Dr. Stone prides itself on science, then gunshot wounds deserve the same treatment.

Childe had always assumed that he would die young. He had accepted that a long time ago, ever since he accepted the mantle of a Fatui Harbinger. However, he always thought that he would die in a glorious fight, his body broken but spirit relishing the strong opponent that had bested him. He was okay with that type of death.
Unfortunately, it seemed like Fate had decided to add one last insult to injury, because, here Childe was, dying because he had fallen in love with the ex-Geo Archon. The same Archon who seemed to have discarded him like an old toy ever since the Osial Incident.

Every day of my life I spend going about knowing I’m my heart that there’s always a chance this fic updates once again, it is quite literally one of my reasons to keep going it’s SO good. The statement that it’s not discontinued is a saving grace Childe has decidedly NOT been afforded for this fanfic lmao, the writing of his inner turmoil is so beautiful and intense that I genuinely get upset for him I NEED his suffering to be discovered you don’t under I need it
In the mean time I have to keep myself entertained wondering how the rest of the fic goes. My favorite idea is that he gets discovered right in the middle of his suicide plan, then everyone has to be faced with that uncomfortable reality! AND his plans are foiled! Put that man in situations awful for his well being
