But reality set in for Jinx, and she wasn't apart of that schedule. She couldn't bare to even touch her baby. And she hated herself for it.

She watched it or more precisely she watched the little smile at the corners of Ekko's eyes until the call clicked. Three rings. Come on Ekko. You can be quicker than that!'
Or: Ekko became a snowboarder after finishing school, and they remained in their high school sweetheart phase for a too long of a time. Now they are both invested, but sometimes long distance is hard.
