Lloyd is stuck in prison and the land bounty has crashed, leaving the other ninja stranded outside the Ice Palace. Meanwhile, the vengeful Akita is on her way to slit the throat of the Ice Emperor with no one there to stop her. When all seems lost, hope is the only thing one can rely on in the ice cold Never Realm.
A deep-dive rewrite of the final few episodes of season 11 because the 11-minute era did not do this interesting premise a lot of justice in my opinion TvT Because what if fighting a tyrant isn't as easy as yelling at them to stop. And what if recovering from decades of mind control doesn't resolve itself within a minute.

Summary
Cole is the Earthen Ninja, the dependable backbone of the team who's already to help his friends, and most of all his boyfriend, Kai. Whether in combat or in day-to-day situations, he's got everybody's back. The foundation of the team has not faltered thus far, but this helpful nature leads to his downfall when while trying to evacuate civilians from the dark miasma-overrun Ninjago City, he waits too long for others, and falls deep into the city.
The other ninja are devastated--the oni were going to be hard to defeat before, but without one of their strongest members, could they even do it anymore? Everything is moving too fast, and they barely have time to mourn before the battle ensues. However, through what seems to be a miracle, they succeed in defeating the oni. Returning to Ninjago City the following day to hold a funeral for Cole they find him--but he's no longer human. In some part, he has become one of them. Cole has become part oni. And he is just as horrified as them.

Summary
For those who grew up with the show and loved it, but now see all the problems with the writing. This is for you. :)
I will be staying as close to canon as possible, with a few key details altered and characters actually growing throughout the show. (Also, I promise Jay is less whiny.)
Alternatively:
You ever go back and rewatch a show from when you were really little then realize the writing could be better so you rewrite the entire show with more angst, character growth, and darker themes?
Yeah. Me too.
