Summary
Kaveh’s tattoos are praised by celebrities and magazines alike, but somewhere along the path to his success, the meaning bled out of his art. Then, after ten long years, Alhaitham rides back into his life on a motorcycle - rugged, quick-witted, and infuriatingly unforgettable.
With love laced into the ink Kaveh had long since stopped believing in, something beautiful finally begins to take shape once more.
There, standing beneath the stupid Books sign and holding his helmet in one hand... was Alhaitham. He was older and broader - somehow impossibly more attractive - but it was undeniably him.
Kaveh staggered to a halt in the middle of the street and tried to recall how to breathe as he devoured the sight of the same handsome bone structure he had spent years trying to either find or forget - only now more chiseled, more ruggedly defined... more ruinous.
Alhaitham’s eyes, at least, hadn’t changed at all. With a breath that caught audibly in his throat, Kaveh lost himself in the piercing, hypnotic teal irises that he hadn’t seen since their gazes last locked across a study table in the high school library.
“Alhaitham?”

Summary
Kaveh has achieved so much today, it should be fine to do this much for himself. It should be fine to enjoy this much. There is absolutely nothing that Al-Haitham could possibly do to ruin this day!
Of course, this is when Al-Haitham chooses to walk in covered in blood.
Kaveh has enough troubles on his plate even without dealing with his confusing relationship with and unfortunately lingering feelings for his stubborn, infuriating roommate. But when a strange conspiracy begins closing in on Al-Haitham and threatening the precarious balance of their daily lives, Kaveh finds himself having to reevaluate the nature of their relationship and reckon with the ghosts of the past.
-----
There’s never really a good time, way, or reason to tell Kaveh about his long-lived, amoral, exiled, criminal ex-partner — who, Al-Haitham will note, was not any of those things at the time they were involved.
However, there is definitely a worst way for Kaveh to find out.

Summary
“Aventurine,” Ratio says, gravely, “The piercing is on my penis.”
And purely because he wouldn’t have risen to the heights of luxury without being utterly shameless, he has the gall to request, “...Show me anyway?”
It is, indeed, a very shameless request to ask of someone. Luckily for him, as it always is, Ratio doesn’t quite mind; whether that was because it didn’t matter where piercings were done, art is art and all that, or that he just drank enough glasses of wine to give him liquid courage. Both possibilities are entirely debatable. He hesitates for a second though, yet ultimately decides the best course of action was to begin tugging down the gray sweatpants, letting it pool around his knees.
Fuck it, he might as well drool.
Ratio has a few secrets up his sleeve, on his back, and inside his pants. All in the name of simply appreciating the aesthetics of body art, a gallery of ink painted on flesh and precious gold etched within it, while spreading knowledge along the cosmos.
or: Aventurine’s (not-at-all biased) artistic critique of Ratio’s body.

Summary
“You may not be aware, but people are speculating whether the two of you are involved...romantically. And, well, you do seem to be quite close, so I've been wondering if there was any truth to that.” Charlotte cleared her throat, waiting for one of them to answer her question.
Kaveh’s thoughts came to a screeching halt. Oh, Archons. My life is over.
Frantic, he looked over to Al-Haitham, who let out a puff of air through his nose. “Of course there’s nothing going on between us. Relationships between sages are strictly forbidden, Miss Charlotte.”
“Oh.” One of Charlotte's hands flew to her mouth. “I didn’t know there was a rule like that.”
“Most people don’t,” said Al-Haitham, voice strained.
Five times people get dangerously close to finding out about the Grand Sage’s illicit relationship with the Kshahrewar Sage, and the one time Al-Haitham decides it’s time they make it official.

Summary
And those eyes. The eyes that always found him during his performance, and followed each strong push of his fingers onto the keys. The eyes that one day— a year ago— wandered into the night sky made of black tuxedos and decided to disguise themselves as stars ever since.
Kaveh, a grand pianist, has one very dedicated listener.
Alhaitham, the "listener", whose life was heavily influenced by a certain Light from the very beginning, never let his eyes stray away too far from it.Bookmarked by Kaone
