Then Tim took a gunshot to the chest and barely missed the next right hook to his face, and Jason was done watching. He wasn’t Bruce and he wouldn’t stand by while another kid died for Batman’s impossible standards. Jason looped his grappling hook around a beam and began a controlled descent into mayhem.
Or: Tim's mission takes a turn for the worse...and then Red Hood shows up. Jason has Big Emotions about seeing a Robin in trouble without backup.

Wei Wuxian laughs.
The sound rips itself from his chest, raw and sharp, edged with hysteria. It echoes off the cliffs, carrying unnaturally far. Several cultivators falter, their advance stuttering as they look up at him in alarm.
“Escape?” he repeats, voice carrying easily over the chaos, “Oh, you little fools, I’m not going anywhere.”

It is the Siege of The Burial Mounds. Wei Wuxian is the only one left alive. Instead of sacrificing himself to destroy the Stygian Tiger Amulet, Wei Wuxian finds him absorbing all of the energy in the Burial Mounds in his grief, in his anger, in his rage.
Once he returns to reality, he finds all of the cultivators who had participated in the siege kowtowing before him.
Wei Wuxian is about to have a lot of fun.

Lan Wangji loves animals. Everyone who’s ever taken care to get to know him even a little bit (which, admittedly, aren’t many) knows that. He regularly donates money to animal welfare organisations, he doesn’t eat meat, he pets random stray cats. Also, he’s been thinking about getting a pair of rabbits for a long time now, the only obstacle being that he’s still living on the family estate with his uncle, who is very adamant about adhering to the Lan clan’s ancient no pets allowed rule.
It has now, however, become very clear to him how criminally he has neglected to consider what it might feel like to actually be a pet.

Lan Wangji finds himself in the disadvantageous situation of being turned into a stingray. Wei Wuxian helps. Jiang Cheng yells. Lan Xichen panics. Lan Qiren is on the brink of qi deviation. All in all, it’s a rather unremarkable Tuesday.
