“Don’t listen to him,” Kazuha says under his breath. Itto tries turning to him, only to have Kazuha look away. “No matter what happens,” Kazuha presses, “no matter what he says and no matter what he does, don’t give him what he wants.”
Itto grins. “That’s a given.”
Kazuha doesn’t smile back.
For the most part, onis were able to merge into human society without a hitch.
