Akito frequently lost track of time when training on his own. It was something he had long gotten used to - he would start his evening practice session, and then suddenly it was the middle of the night and he forgot to sleep, or he forgot to eat... It wasn't anything to worry about, he thought. Anything was worth it for the sake of beating RAD WEEKEND.
Even when it started escalating. Even when others started to notice.
As long as it didn't impact his performance, as long as he still improved, he was fine.Until it stopped being as simple as 'forgetting'.

Nothing was working.
Why the hell was nothing working?
All of those people Akito talked to - he lied to every single one of them. He only shared the bare minimum of information. It almost worked, but he could see the looks on their faces every time he slipped up. Something was still missing. They all definitely saw right through him, didn’t they? They just didn’t question him, for whatever reason. The only ones who did were Toya and Tsukasa, but both quickly stopped when he brushed them off.
But they know. They definitely know.
Just ignoring these feelings and memories isn’t enough, clearly.
It’s what causes him to slip up. It’s what makes the others not trust the new truth he’s creating.
If he just locks everything away, as deep as possible, they won’t resurface again.
