Summary
Summary:
“I think,” Higgs said, taking a slow, measured step closer, the heavy leather of his boots clicking with sharp, echoing finality against the floor, “that you’ve spent so long being told what to do and running from everyone that you don’t know what freedom looks like anymore….”After the 2nd supercell, when his own trap in the woods went nowhere, Higgs, realizing he can’t kill Sam, decides to kidnap him in order to stop the connections.
What was meant to put a stop to Sam’s chiral network expansion morphed into a dangerous manipulation where the fine line between reality and delusion is blurred and neither of them are safe from falling.

Summary
"Ya know, daddy dear wasn't all that fond of holidays," Higgs drawled out, a bit short of breath, yet still unnervingly coherent in tone, "but he used to foster a special hatred for Thanks-fucking-giving."
It could have been the start of light-hearted banter over a cup of rarely sampled coffee. A more or less genuine attempt to forge a bond by sharing heart-shattering anecdotes of past trauma as one does in a world built from its bleached bones. At least it could have been so if Sam's whole nervous system wasn't currently busy trying to remember how to function.
You see, it's a bit hard to concentrate on conversation of any kind when someone is plunged balls-deep in your ass to begin with.

Summary
Inspired by Adema’s song “Giving In”, which is woven throughout. Just needed some spicy Golden Bridges content in my life.
