Dio doesn’t mean to think about him, it just... Happens.
Jonathan had been wearing a cropped hoodie when they went out for brunch earlier in the day, and at one point, Dio had the absolutely insane thought that he could pretty easily slip his hands in under the hoodie, could feel Jonathan up and trace fingertips over defined muscle and watch Jonathan’s face change from surprise to arousal to desperation.
He’d shooed the thought from his mind at the time, but now... Now...

Dio’s nose brushed against the side of Jonathan’s neck. “Jojo…” he murmured, sliding the tip of his nose down the pulse in Jonathan’s neck. “I wonder if you’ll taste different.”
“What?” Jonathan asked again.
He could hear the sound of Dio parting his mouth. The next sensation Jonathan felt was the sharp poke of his fangs pricking against his pulse. “Did you miss me, Jojo?”

When Jonathan first starts college, Dio goes missing. No one knows where he is, and Jonathan, to everyone’s surprise, is the most affected. Seven years later, and Jonathan is still committed to finding him. Now a detective in the police force, he comes across a missing persons case a few towns over. There, he finds Dio. Unable to bear the thought of Dio drinking from innocent people, and even killing them, they strike a deal.
