What do you think when you imagine yourself going on an adventure?
Many would think of going to exotic places, climbing up mountains, diving deep into the oceans, venturing into jungles and the likes. And they would definitely not have the weight of being truly, utterly alone.
But an adventure could also be through time and space. Going anywhere, anywhen you wish with an alien. And bearing the weight of being the actual last of your family.
That is something that perfectly describes the adventures of Elynes Istoras-Crimmons.
(Also, the reason for it being part one is that I wrote it on notebooks, which ran out and therefore needed more)

Today felt— slow, wrong. Like, something wasn't quite right. The streets were too quiet, especially at this time of night.
You bundled up in your thick coat, huffing out a small cloud of fog from your lips as your boots crunched in the mix of concrete and snow beneath your feet. You were on your way home from work, listening to an old rerun of Mr. “Ant” Tenna’s TV-TIME! on your phone. And that's when you heard it, that unfamiliar sound; something so loud you could hear it over the eccentric voice of a Gameshow host. It sounded like nails against a chalkboard.
Well... you had nothing better to do.
