“Yes. My name is Nine. I’m not Tails.” His mechanical tails suddenly shot out, snakelike. Threateningly, yet he had no intention of attacking her, merely showing off his new and improved extra limbs.
“That’s a dumb name.” The blue fennec spoke up, earning the surprise of Nine and the tenrec. “You should have called yourself Kitsune, or maybe Kyubi.”
In which a damaged fennec aquamancer meets a damaged twin-tailed fox from another world. Discussion are had and decisions are made. Because the author cannot stop writing about Nine and his interactions with other characters.

“Yeah… Mind we pass on that?” Tangle groaned out, looking sick suddenly.
“I was joking.” Nine deadpanned. Sonic tripped onto his face and off the hamster wheel. Right onto the floor in front of Nine’s feet.
