Hearing her name, Niki stiffened, and Wilbur brushed his shoulder against hers, hoping she wasn’t afraid of hearing them talk about her.
or, Wilbur, son of the King's advisor, and Niki, a possible heir to the throne, have been best friends since before they could walk and are known for causing mischief in the palace. One day though, the kids overhear a conversation they shouldn't.

Wilbur freezes on his tracks at the sight of Detective Blade standing before him, gripping his guitar case.
“This yours?” Techno’s voice is devoid of any sentiment— this might be a good thing considering Wilbur has the DSMP Police Department on his tail for identity theft, child abduction (that one was completely taken out of context) and possession of weapons.
He gives a nod.
“Tommy and Tubbo were terrorizing the kids in the playground with it. Keep your stuff away from orphan hands next time.”
His guitar case, by the way, is filled with 21 ounces of cocaine.
aka a crime fic where Philza is everyone's impulse control, Wilbur tries his best to keep Tommy and Tubbo away from mass destruction, Niki is done with everyone's BS, Quackity (for once) says no to drugs, Schlatt does the thing he did back in 1999, Techno second guesses his orphan obliterating policies, and no one knows where Dream lives.
