Summary
As teenagers, Seungmin and Hyunjin met at creative summer camp and never defined what they were to each other. When a broken promise tears them apart, they don’t speak to each other for years until they meet again in college like strangers who almost remember each other. But some things don’t start over cleanly.
Turns out not thinking about it was never the same as moving on.
Or:
“Do you believe in that?”
“No,” Hyunjin shook his head.
“No?” Seungmin asked, a bit surprised. “I thought soulmates would be like your personal philosophy.”
Hyunjin laughed quietly before turning to Seungmin. “I think it’s too easy.”
Or:
Hyunjin believes love is something you have to choose. Even when it hurts. Even when it’s easier not to.
Seungmin has spent his whole life letting people choose for him.
Eventually, he’s the one having to choose. Over and over again.
Even when it’s already too late.

Summary
“Dad died.”
Hyunjin waited for something to happen inside his chest.
Shock. Grief. Relief.
Nothing came.“We have to go home,” Minho said.
“I’ll go with you,” Seungmin added gently, taking Hyunjin’s hand under the table. “Someone has to make sure you eat.”
Or:
Some homes are remembered in warmth. Others in silence.
Hyunjin thought he’d left his past behind long ago. Now, he illustrates stories meant to make children feel safe and Seungmin helps people find their words again.
He’s built a life filled with art, quiet mornings, and people who feel safe in ways he never learned to expect. But when his father dies, he and Minho are forced to return home — and confront what they survived, what they lost, and what it truly means to be cared for.
Somewhere between quiet mornings, shared routines, and things left unsaid, Hyunjin and Seungmin begin to learn that love doesn’t always arrive loudly — sometimes it’s built slowly, in small actions, and in staying when it would be easier to leave.

Summary
Hyunjin spills coffee on the cutest boy he’s ever seen.
The boy tips him anyway and leaves.
Hyunjin forgets to ask for his name.Minho immediately judges him for this.
Or
Just as he was about to apologetically hand him the coffee, Hyunjin tripped over literally nothing and spilled half of the cup on the poor boy’s chest. Seungmin gasped and took a step back in shock. Hyunjin immediately went into full panic mode, apologizing and wiping at the boy’s shirt, which only made it worse.
“I don’t think this is helping,” he said with a sheepish smile.
Or
Spilled coffee, rambling apologies, and a boy who can’t seem to stand still — Hyunjin’s first encounter back at college does not go as planned. Somehow, between messy hair, silver bracelets, and shy smiles, the stranger manages to leave a lasting impression… and Hyunjin wondering if he’s ever going to be able to pull himself together is enough to see him again.

Summary
“Truthfully, I’ve never been confessed to before.”
Well, shit.
Hyunjin can’t tell him now -- not after seeing the pleased little smile on Seungmin’s face and the slight tilt of his round little head, too reminiscent of a puppy for Hyunjin to subsequently kick with the truth: that Seungmin still hasn’t been confessed to before, because the confession was never meant for him. It was meant for his best friend, Lee Felix.
Hyunjin accidentally slips Felix’s love letter into Seungmin’s locker and is such an INFP that he doesn’t have the heart to tell Seungmin the truth.

Summary
“Hyunjin is dead,” Jeongin breathed. He looked up to see the others stare back at him with wide eyes, Hyunjin towering over them at the back, the light from the window in the hallway lighting up his figure. “They told me he was dead.”
Hyunjin's dark eyes found Jeongin’s tearful ones.
“Not dead,” Hyunjin said with a poisonous smile. “Just gay.”
Or: Jeongin has spent years mourning the loss of his first love, a love he was told by his church was sinful and wrong, but one he just couldn't stop from blooming in his chest. Now, years later, Jeongin meets Hyunjin again, very alive and also very different from how he used to be back in their shared church.
