“Eh?” Vi blinked down at the girl, a bewildered expression. She said something back, only for the teen to cut her off with more rapid, and rabid, French, motioning to Caitlyn emphatically and then pointing to Vi.
Caitlyn watched them argue back and forth, feeling a bit put off over the fact she couldn’t understand the conversation that apparently involved her. With a dramatic eye roll, Vi peeled away to face Caitlyn again, hands on her hips.
She gave Caitlyn a deliberate look up and down, like she was scanning for a bomb at the airport and came away like she was disappointed she couldn’t find one.
“Tell you what, city girl, I have to go and do some sap collecting. Why don’t you come along for a quick tour to pass the time while you wait?”
Caitlyn goes to a sugar bush.

"Do you want to come back?"
Alex shrugs again, but Vi's been Alex before. She knows what a quick glance up at her and then away means. Please don't make me beg if you're going to say no.
"I guess."
"I'll go talk to her," Vi says, helping Alex takes the gloves off. "You can keep the wraps. If you need to hit anything, that will make it better."
"Kay."
"Kay," Vi parrots back. Alex trails after her. "What's your foster mum called?"
Vi yanks the door open, ready for a fight with a snooty old woman. She stops so suddenly that Alex barrels into her back. Because sure, the woman in front of her is snooty as fuck, but heavens is she pretty.
"Caitlyn," Alex says as she opens her arms for a running Lavender. "Caitlyn Kiramman."

Summary
When Caitlyn left England and everything she knew behind to pursue her dream of becoming an artist in America, she never expected it to be quite so lonely.
Canvases, sketchbooks, and art classes fill her days, but never the emptiness.
After a chance encounter with Vi and a complete lapse in professional judgement, Caitlyn finds herself offering Vi an arrangement: art lessons in exchange for Vi modelling for her.
Vi, of course, agrees.
OR
Caitlyn loses all sense the moment she meets Vi, resulting in her volunteering as a nude model for her own art class. Vi ends up coming. So does Caitlyn.

Vi came to Piltover Warden University with two titanium rods in her spine, a double major nobody thought was a good idea, and absolutely zero intentions of getting distracted.
Then her design class assigned her the volleyball team's rebrand, and suddenly she's spending six weeks courtside watching Caitlyn Kiramman spike balls hard enough to echo through the building; Campus star, ace student, and either the most insufferable person Vi has ever met or the most interesting one. Possibly both.
Vi hasn't decided yet.
