Summary
Jason clamps down on the panic bubbling at the base of his sternum with a practiced hand and exhales all of his air, intending to settle into a meditative breathing pattern that should help him focus more on his other senses, except-
His breath comes out hot and humid, clouding the space around his mouth and nose and reflecting back on his cheeks, causing his skin to prickle uncomfortably. And when he inhales, it doesn’t quite fill his lungs, the air stale and wet.
It’s recycled air.
Jason involuntarily jerks in place, wobbling back a step.
He counts down five minutes in his head before he starts trying to break himself out – clings to the meager hope of rescue for those 300 agonizing, too-still seconds as he does his best to breathe shallowly and calmly to preserve his air supply. In the end, all it does is make him weaker, make the digging take longer.
Jason’s heart thunders in his chest. Dirt dribbles down onto his face.
OR: When an EMP goes off and Jason's powered-down helmet gets stuck on his head, he realizes a fatal flaw in his design - there's no way for him to breathe inside the helmet without power. Dick and Tim have to resort to desperate measures to save his life.

Bad Things Happen Bingo | Paranoia |

“No, you don’t understand,” Diluc whines, “No one’s ever escaped him. He’ll come for me. I’ll be free just long enough to finally feel comfortable, to finally breathe and then he’ll come for me. I know it. I’m here on borrowed time. I’m always going to end up back there. He said so himself.”
Kaeya bites back the sob expanding in his chest.
Diluc continues, “Every time I hear a rustle outside, or someone knocks on the door unexpectedly, or I see a light on the road, I just know it’s him coming for me, and I can’t escape him, I can’t get away, I-”

OR: When Diluc injures his leg, Jean forces him to stay at Kaeya's apartment while he recovers. But Diluc's traumatized, anxious, and paranoid... and Kaeya manages to inadvertently play right into his fears.

Summary
Bad Things Happen Bingo | Punctured Lung |
--
Jason jerks back as a metal pipe spears through the bottom of the vent a foot in front of his face, the end of it sharpened into a savage, jagged point. He stares at it for a long moment, dumbfounded, before it disappears back through the hole it made with a horrible shriek of metal on metal. The hole is about three inches wide, the edges bent up into sharp, uneven scraps.
Jason lost his helmet back when their earlier fight had gotten out of hand, and he’s suddenly vividly aware of how vulnerable his face is, how vulnerable his eyes are, and he can barely lift his head more than a couple of inches in this position – definitely not enough to be out of range. There’s a vague murmur coming from the goons down below, but Jason can’t make out the words through the buzz of panic in his ears. He’s a sitting duck if they realize someone’s up here.
He glances at Tim, who’s frozen, staring at Jason with mirrored shock.
Oh, fuck.
--
OR: What would happen if a henchman with a pointy metal stick heard Bats crawling around in the vents above them?

Summary
A soft sound brings Genji's attention back to the recording. “No,” Hanzo whispers, so quietly Athena has to boost the sound, creating small crackles of feedback in the speaker. Genji’s heart thumps loudly in his chest. “No,” Hanzo repeats, a little more strongly, “Father, please.”
Sojiro scoffs, curling his lip. The item he’d been reaching for comes into view of the camera – a bow, not too dissimilar to Stormbow, but stained in the reds and blacks their father was known to be fond of. “You’ve been warned, Hanzo.” Sojiro produces an arrow from a quiver stashed somewhere behind him, nocking it on the bowstring. “This tendency of yours is detrimental to the clan and will not be tolerated.”
Hanzo makes a more concentrated effort of struggling against the guards. “I promise it won’t happen again, Father. Never again. Just please, don’t do this!”
OR: When Overwatch confiscates old files from Shimada Castle, Genji asks Athena to sort through them and show him anything she thinks he should see, which leads Genji to the realization that he's managed to completely miss the fact that his brother's gay... and that their father wasn't who Genji thought he was. So, he decides to take matters into his own hands.

Aprilluc 2025: Day 26 ~ Promise
--
Diluc huffs a little laugh, more for Kaeya’s sake than his own. Curiosity gets the better of him, and the question slips out before he has the chance to stop himself, “Why do you cover that eye, anyway? I think I asked you a hundred times when we were kids, but you never gave me a straight answer.”
Kaeya’s lips press into a thin line, and his gaze darts around Diluc’s face, calculating.
“You don’t have to tell me if you don’t want to,” Diluc adds quietly.
Kaeya sighs, reaching behind himself to undo the knot at the back of his head.
--
OR: When Diluc takes up sketching to help rehabilitate his hand after using the Delusion too much, and Kaeya becomes his latest subject, Diluc notices a scar underneath his eyepatch that wasn't there before...

Hanzo is finally in a place where he can express his feelings without fear of judgement. At least, that’s what Genji had assured.
So far, being in Gibraltar HQ has been nothing but stressful — a reminder of every way Hanzo fails at being a person.
