Jimin carries on anyway, even though he knows - he really does know - that this is the silliest thing he has ever done in his life. Tae would probably say those exact words to him if he knew. Namjoon will probably be concerned about Jimin’s overall mental state.
“So?” he asks, oozing impatience on purpose. He pushes his hair back and sighs. “Do you? Want it?”
Jungkook’s eyes narrow in suspicion. “What’s the catch?”

“Calm down, shh,” Jungkook soothed. Jimin was panting, tears running down his cheeks, gaze searching around him as if trying to find the threat. Jungkook touched his shoulder, but he flinched back hard, almost falling off the bed.
“Jimin, hey, can you hear me? It’s just me, baby. It’s Jungkook. You’re safe, remember?”
It took several seconds for Jimin to come to his senses enough, and when he did, Jungkook didn’t waste any time to pull him against his chest in a tight hug.
“You’re okay, Jiminie. No one can hurt you now, I promise.”
“It felt so real, Jungkookie. It’s never felt this real before,” Jimin sobbed into his chest.
