Summary
Felix Lee and Han Jisung grow up side by side in Sydney, close enough that “self-proclaimed twins” stops being a joke somewhere along the way. After the Kaiju attack in 2012, whatever childhood they had gets folded into military paperwork, relocation, and the slow rebuild of a world that doesn’t care who they used to be. They end up in the pipeline of the Pan Pacific Defense Corps, where everything is temporary, everything is moving, and everyone is being quietly sorted into what they’ll become.
They sign up for Jaeger training voluntarily—no prophecy, no destiny, just two kids running away from home and everything waiting for them there. If the world is ending, they might as well die together trying to make a change. Class of 2018, they’re the only compatible pair to actually make it through the program. Not the strongest, not the most polished—just the ones who didn’t break apart. They come out the other side as the pilots and somehow that turns into fame. Which is ironic, considering they were mostly just trying to outrun everything in the first place.

Summary

Summary
There was a child on the docks.
Shanks knew, of course, that a far removed village like this couldn’t be faulted for not recognizing his jolly roger, but it was still a jolly roger. There wasn’t even anyone with the boy, and that made all of Shanks’ instincts flare up.
He called a halfhearted order to his first mate, watching the child carefully as he looked at the Red Force with stars in his eyes and pearls in his hair.
