He was wearing his flight suit, blood from his nose, trickling down and staining the collar of his uniform. Goose looked confused, like he didn’t know why Mav was sobbing. Maverick pushed himself back into the corner of the room, Goose followed, doing so slowly as if trying not to startle a stray cat. Mav must be going crazy; he has to be! Goose is dead! “H-how are you-... You’re dead! I… Oh God, I must be going Insane.”
