Summary
She looked at him, but looking, of course, wasn’t enough.
A kiss beneath the full moon, in the raging ocean, was not enough. Had she always, in some way, burned for him? Her enemy, her friend; the kind, golden flicker in the middle of the flame?
For once, the question had an easy answer. Yes—

Summary
Modern AU
All Katara wanted, was a nice evening of hanging out with the Aang-less gang—hearing the latest from Suki, joking with Toph, getting mad at Sokka.
But why, oh why, did he have to be there?
Granted Zuko lived here in the quality of Sokka’s roommate, but he could, you know, slink in his den of brooding darkness and let her be? Not that he was contributing much to the discussion, but did he have to take up so much space in that damn armchair, feet planted wide, arms on the armrest, face unreadable?

Summary
Katara and the banished Fire Prince come to an unorthodox arrangement after unexpectedly reuniting in the Lower Ring of Ba Sing Se, some months after the Siege of the North. But as the lines between enemies and friends become blurred, both find themselves approaching an impending crossroad, one that will force them to take a side once and for all...
A continuation of sorts to i've got some damn bad intentions which takes place in an alternate timeline when Aang was frozen at 16 and everyone's aged up by four years, so Katara and Zuko are 18 and 20, respectively.
Written for Zutara Smut Week 2021.

Summary
Overcome with the sensation of love for the boy in front of her, Katara placed a chaste kiss on his lips, then flung herself into him so she could bury her head in his neck and hair. They stayed that way for a while, Katara draped over Zuko, petting his hair while he peppered kisses on her clothed shoulder. It was good to be together. In those quiet moments with no advisors, or chaperones, or even friends present, they didn’t have to be Fire Lord Zuko and Master Katara. They could just be Zuko and Katara, how it was meant to be.
Fire Nation nobility are quite particular about their hair. Such coveted locks are not to be touched by anyone, much less the peasantry. Zuko doesn't let anyone touch him at all for fear of being burned. Katara is Zuko's exception to both of these conventions.

Summary
Technically speaking, they're both spoken for. Reality is, as always, more nuanced than that. In another life, she might have been his from the start, but complications, as they normally do, got in the way. As summer sets, with his lips against her shoulder blade and his heart in her hands, she realizes she's always been his, even if she'd been promised to another. Recklessly, she allows him to make a home in her heart. In the morning, the news will fall on every door step in Caldera, but they pay no mind to the idle gossip as she shatters above him, his name falling from her lips in a diminuendo of longing.
