Like he'd been waiting for his cue, a tall, dark-haired man appeared behind the jailer. He wore a fighter's leathers, all in black, with a long sword peeking over one shoulder. His eyes were a complicated grey, flecks of blue giving them richness, but they were…empty.
Steve fought not to recoil from the blankness, letting his gaze flick to the bird perched on his other shoulder. It was some kind of hunting bird, maybe a falcon or a hawk, no hood or jesses, and it mantled, staring down at Steve like he was a mouse it was considering for dinner.
They were something from a legend or a nightmare and they were here for Steve.

Summary
What's a guy to do when he's been exiled from his homeworld for doing the right thing, especially when everyone else in the universe believes he's a badass who kicks ass and will tap any ass? Clint Barton had better figure it out soon or he may find himself caught up in a story bigger than his, dragged into an origin story that takes him in a completely different direction than he ever dreamed of, one that just might land him in the lap of a man who can accept him as he is.
A space opera told as a fictionalized account of Clint Barton's personal logs in the latter half of the 29th century. Space battles, corporate espionage, questionable motives, bad decisions, and sex ... so much sex ... may just lead Clint to find where he fits in a crazy, fast-changing universe.
This is part of my sexuality series: unlike the others which are all one-shots, in this story, I'm playing at a societal level, wondering just what a world where sex has only two rules (consent and age), spirituality is deep, fighting skills are legendary, and peace is the first option might look like. Wish me luck.

Summary
An event known only as the Sundering destroyed civilization as it had been known. Now, several hundred years later, humans have banded together in tribes that war over resources and scramble for ways to deal with the occasionally-deadly mutations that the Sundering left in its wake.
The Avengers thought they would be the next victims of the Hydra tribe’s steady expansion and subjugation, but instead, Hydra approached them with an offer of alliance, including a bride for Tony, the Avengers’ second-in-command, to symbolize the union of the two tribes. But neither Tony’s bride nor the alliance turn out to be what the Avengers were hoping for.
