Summary

Summary

Summary
Post canon fic about Robert managing to convince everyone on the Z-Team he’s a Beta until they catch him red handed.
“This is fucking stupid.” He says, aggravated.
“No it fucking ain’t you suicidal prick.” Chase snaps back at him. The older man is definitely angrier than he’d been a few hours ago, far more irritated compared to when he’d first shown up at Roberts crumbling apartment unannounced.
“Yes it fucking is!” He snaps right back. “I don’t need to be doing this.”
“Robert please, it’s not going to fucking kill you.” Chase amps up again, they’d been going back and forth for the last 2 and a half hours. Doing the same spiel for every piece of cloth Robert picked from the big, corporate bag of nesting shit sent to him by SDN.

"This isn't something to joke about, Robert. This is torture for your body and your omega. It's been roughly two decades since you've had a heat, much less given in to any of your instincts. You're going to 𝙠𝙞𝙡𝙡 yourself, not just physically but mentally." They shook their head, letting out a heavy sigh before finally muttering, "Goodbye, Robert."
OR
After suppressing his instincts for so long, the events of canon catch up to him: wearing scent patches for two decades, not wearing them for months during his coma and rehab, Shroud incarcerated. His first heat in twenty years finally hits him.
