Summary
A continuation of the 35 years later arc from the Sonic the Hedgehog Archie comics.
Since the defeat of the former king, Shadow the Hedgehog, Sonic and Sally have been enjoying the tranquility that has graced their kingdom. However, the peaceful times come to an end when the tyrant returns and attacks the castle with the intention of using the chaos emeralds kept there. Sonic and Sally fight to defend their kingdom from Shadow's dark plans when Rouge the Bat reappears after a 35-year absence… And she is firm in her resolve to stop Shadow's destructive spree on her own. Insisting that she must be the one to fix the mistakes that caused him to go down this path.
Where has Rouge been all this time? What could have pushed Shadow towards such a dark path? What took place 35 years ago that set everything in motion? And is there still hope for Shadow to be redeemed? The answers to these questions have remained shrouded in mystery but now Rouge’s reappearance may finally shed some light on the origins of King Shadow. -
