Summary
Bill drinks the rabbit blood in the hopes that it will give him an edge on stage, but it backfires catastrophically. He loses control of himself and attacks Legoshi, tearing open his back leaving him gravely injured on the verge of death.
Barely saved from expulsion, kicked out of drama club, and overwhelmed with the sheer guilt over what he's done, Bill only sees one way to make things right—attempting to take his own life.
He's found before it's too late, but the road to recovery is a long one, and far from easy. A road that Legoshi decides to accompany him on despite his injuries. The two care for each other, helping the other heal both mentally and physically as they form an inexplicable bond with one another.

Scar Tissue was one of the first Beastars fanfic I read, it sent me on a journey I’ve never forgotten and redefined what fanfiction was to me as I was previously not very active in fanfiction in general, now I am a writer myself with a work on the way. It is an inspiring and incredibly well crafted slow burn romance and mental health drama that fulfills all the goals it sets out to reach. ST makes a full departure from the canon into something honestly much more fulfilling. It also the longest fic I’ve read at over 140,000 words but it’s all worth it. Scar Tissue will not dissapoint.

Summary
In the wake of the disastrous second performance of Adler, Bill is wracked with guilt he can’t seem to shake no matter how hard he tries. He apologized to Legoshi privately and the wolf had accepted it but something had seemed off about him. Bill didn’t know what it was but he could sense it. His instincts practically screaming at him that something was distinctly wrong. He hoped he was just being paranoid, that it was the guilt that still weighed him down.
He couldn’t have been more wrong.
Legoshi had attempted to end his life. The news had sent shock waves through the drama club. First Tem, and nearly the quietly loyal gray wolf. Bill had gotten a glimpse of what life would be like without him and he was distraught over the unbearable thought of it. In the two weeks since their stage fight they’d gotten closer, spending more time with each other during club and sometimes outside of it.
Bill didn’t want to live a life without Legoshi and as it turns out Legoshi held on just for Bill.

Until I Found Him is my personal favourite ship-fic in Beastars. It's a work I will always defend because of its emotional and technical complexity. It takes time to expand on the canon logic, introducing sound concepts not aptly discussed before, and creating a backstory fitting for Bill. Even though Red made a rather major assumption about Bill to make this work, everything still progresses in a natural way. Personally, I believe that UIFH has one of the most accurate and in-character depictions of Legoshi I've ever seen; Red has a really good understanding of him.

H is an incredibly powerful missing scene that digs digs deep into Legoshi’s inner battle with his instincts. It’s sad but compelling at the same time. He is incredibly well represented and the dialogue here would be of great use to anyone learning to learning to further understand him for their own work.
