“Bubba…!” Dogday immediately says helplessly as he dramatically slouches into himself.
Bubba takes one look at his notes before settling beside him and grabbing them, “Is this about integrals? It looks like you got it though?” The blue elephant questions as he looks over the neat notes his friend has structured on his notebook.
Dogday shakes his head, “No, Bubba. Listen, this is serious. I just-...ugh. Dude, like promise me you won’t tell anyone.”
Bubba, although confused and now slightly concerned, nodded, “I promise. What is it?”
“I like Catnap.”

Solaris was fighting against a villain who could teleport using the shadows. No wonder the fight has been taking so long.
Whatever.
He feels tired, and he needs to sleep. Tomorrow he has to do his groceries before heading to work. He gets up and hums pleasantly as he watches the fight travel away from him and as another hero assists Solaris.
Finally the fight will be-
BANG!
Catnap hisses and whips around at the noise.
He’s met with the outside. And as his gaze follows the small bit of debris from his now missing wall he finds Solaris.
Knocked out.

It turns out that after death there's a bit more that awaits the SmillingCritters, a place they can call home after they were pulled out of Critter Valley long ago to be put into those larger bodies they were surprised to find themselves back to their original homes, original bodies but with the added different that they could no longer die yet they could still feel pain, most of the critters try their best to forget the hell they’ve been through and return to a somewhat normal life, all until the last of the critters arrived at the valley after he had made a certain deal with a deity to offer him a second chance to earn their forgiveness, Will the other critters forgive him for his sins? Or will they make him wish he chose the option of eternal damnation? Only time will tell.

After a near-fatal accident leaves DogDay with shattered memories and very limited mobility, life for the smiling critters becomes a puzzled mess of emotions and conflicting feelings.
DogDay needs to relearn how to walk, while also trying to piece back the fragments of his lost memory, and struggle to understand why everyone acts so strange... and why CatNap suddenly seems so keen on keeping his distance, as if sheltering him from some hidden truth.
But CatNap was never good at keeping secrets, and there’s something unspoken between them that refuses to stay buried.
Even when memories and feelings begin to resurface, healing comes slowly, but things never remain lost for too long. -

Created under Governor Poppy’s Delight and Secure Initiative (DASI), VISAGE Corp. aimed to create the perfect team of super powered critters that could take on the rising number of powerful villains that were terrorizing the good people of Critter Haven.
And it worked…a little too well.
Crime had plummeted and the people were happy.
This was a good thing…right?
Dogday knows he should think so, but now he finds himself bored and desperate for something to do. His friends suggest that he get a day job, much to his dismay. He couldn't just leave the people of Critter Haven unprotected, could he? What if something happened while he was away? However, his friends weren't giving him much of a choice and Dogday was never one that could turn down an earnest request.
However, it's not long before a new threat emerges, led by an eccentric villain that goes by the alias: Chimera. An opponent unlike anything Dogday had ever faced before.
And strangely enough, this new foe seems oddly...familiar.

The city of Critter Cape was a vast and sprawling metropolis. Countless critters of all shapes and sizes lived in its hustle and bustle. Few of those critters could ever fathom of leading more than one life, and even fewer knew of what dangers lurked beneath the busy city.
Dogday, however, knows both of these things very well. By day, he's a happy-go-lucky college student. Ready to step into the next page of his life with all his wonderful friends right beside him. By night, however, he's Agent Day. A spy working for a mysterious organization. Using a myriad of cunning, gadgets and his own physical strength, Dogday hopes to improve Critter Cape one mission at a time.
Not all is as it seems in the roaring city, though. For beneath the veil lies even more secrets than Dogday could ever imagine. It isn't until his encounter with a mysterious and enigmatic purple cat does the truth begin to blur. Known as "The Phantom of the Night," the cat sabotages one of his missions and leaves the canine confused, angry and desperate for answers. Despite future prospects, Dogday can't get over his loss at the hands of the dastardly cat.

Prologue: The secrets of the Playtime Company are deep-seated in the earth. Experimentations, torture, coercion and murder were everyday occurrences. It took the Hour of Joy to end one horror and replace it with another. Death became the only true Salvation, the only true Freedom. But they say sometimes a place so rooted in darkness, fear and pain can bring the attention of greater forces to it; and something out there in the universe decided a long time ago that second chances at a good life was well deserved.
Summary: When DogDay died after being taken over by the mini-Critters, he thought that was the end. But he was surprised when he opened his eyes again to a new world, so familiar to the one he was trapped in, but also so much freer and safer. It's a world where the children of Playtime Co were given a second chance to live, without the tortures of their previous lives. As more characters join their new world, tendrils from the old one reaches in and threatens to destroy their lives once more. It is up for the tortured souls of Playtime to make another stand against the forces that threaten their happiness and peace.
