A small bead of sweat slid down his temple from the sheer exhaustion of the self-healing of such a rapidly degrading affliction as his legal-blindness. “I know I don’t. But I want to. This could be good for both of us. I at least owe you some attempt after all the turmoil I unintentionally put you through.”
“You owe me nothing.” Dark Cacao Cookie’s voice shook and he gripped Pure Vanilla’s wrist, guiding his hand up enough so he may tuck his face into it. Vanilla thumbed at the other’s cheek soothingly. “Nothing at all.”

Summary
Ghost has been officially cleared for a solo deployment, leaving behind one John "Soap" MacTavish who rages at the thought of being left behind. Especially by the man who he can't help but think of as his mate. Ghost is sweet for a moment and stone cold the next, giving the omega whiplash. When his text to Ghost goes unanswered for nearly a month, Johnny can't quite bring himself to care anymore and makes an impulsive decision to show the alpha what's he missing.
