Summary
Richard had left him and gone to Blüdhaven. Two different iterations of the Teen Titans had deemed him unworthy for one reason or another. Djinn would have rather remained in Limbo than in his presence. Flatline was present one moment and gone the next, as flighty as Catwoman. His only constant was Superboy, no matter their tumultuous relationship, he was a glowing presence.
So if his one, longest lasting friend, decided that he would much rather live in the future, that he would much rather spend time with the pink haired boy, that he would much rather team up with Richard, it was okay.

Summary
In another world, where Dick isn't Ric, the aftermath of the City of Bane goes differently and the Waynes have time to think and reflect. Weeks after Damian watches his father strike Drake on that rooftop, he can't stop thinking about the incident. Damian wants to believe that Father would never hurt him, but he knows better than to believe anything without evidence. So, Damian designs an experiment.
He might not like its results.

There.
Damian stood in the center of the chaos, talking to another league member Jon’s brain refused to register. It wasn’t his Damian, though.
His hair was shorter—not the long, cascading curls Jon had grown used to, but a buzzed fade, like when they were kids.
His shoulders were tenser too but that could have been due to the situation rather than a universal difference.
And most telling, he was in combat gear—nothing Jon recognized by design, but unmistakably something bat-related.
The voice was the same, though.
Exactly the same.
Or: Jon is on a month-long mission assisting an alternate Earth with an invasion. But being away from his boyfriend, Damian, for so long starts to take it's toll. Can this Earth's Damian help with the pain?

This takes place about 6 or seven months after 'Favorite Uncle'. This could be read as standalone in theory but I wouldn't recommend it.
